At your first visit, we will review your pathology report and discuss your treatment options with you.
Superficial Radiation Therapy (SRT):
SRT is a non-surgical skin cancer treatment that uses low-energy radiation to target only the upper layers of the skin, where basal and squamous cell carcinomas typically develop. It has been used to treat non-melanoma skin cancers, particularly in patients who are not ideal candidates for surgery. However, traditional SRT does not include imaging to guide or monitor treatment. While Bay Dermatology does not offer standard SRT, we include it here for informational purposes.
Image-Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy (IGSRT):
This gentle approach uses advanced IGSRT technology, performed right in our office over the course of a few weeks.
